Nancy Ngetich

Nancy Ngetich is 22 years old. She heard the good news of Bridges Empowerment Center through a friend. After one week, she enrolled in a computer course. Through her dedication, hard work, and prayer she completed the course and graduated successfully. She later got a job at Tawil food industries as a saleslady. Later on, she was promoted to a full-time secretary. This was after her boss was pleased by her computer skills mostly on data entry, data analysis, query executions, report formulation, emailing, and scheduling and organizing events. She can also be able to compile both weekly and monthly reports. Nancy is so thankful to Bridges of Hope and Empowerment for equipping her with life skills.

Esther Wangari

Esther knew Bridges Empowerment Center through her mother. At first, she was interested to join a driving school. After realizing Bridges Empowerment Center offers free beauty and hairdressing course, she enrolled. After completing the 3-month training, she graduated from our center. Thereafter they teamed up with Lucy Wanjiku. Lucy was running a small salon. After some months, Lucy was impressed with her skills and employed her. They have now expanded the business handling many clients every day. Esther again through the entrepreneur skills she learned, she is intending to save so that in the future she can open her own salon.

Lucy Wanjiku

Lucy has an interesting story. She opened a salon without enough skills. She had a passion for running a salon from her young age. This dream made her visit a salon owned by her friend to learn some of the skills practiced in a salon. This made everything difficult for her since she had not acquired all the skills. This also frustrated her because only a few customers showed up. When darkness was almost taking her dreams away, Bridges of Hope and Empowerment showed the light. She learned about our center through our marketing team. She immediately enrolled for the course. She was taught all the skills including braiding, weaving, manicure, pedicure, and others. Due to her confidence and experience, she attracts a lot of clients daily. She has also employed one of our former students Esther. She has a vision of training more people to equip them with the skill she was equipped with in Bridges Empowerment Center.
